Greece
Greece, an ancient and modern country, is located on the southern tip of the Balkans in southern Europe.
The beginnings of Christianity spread throughout Greece and much of Paul’s journeys and New Testament writings took place in Greece. From a Biblical and historical point of view, this is a must-see country to tour and explore.
Greece is strategically situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Some of the world’s most famous beaches spread along the Aegean Sea, the Ionian Sea, the Cretan Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Considered the cradle of Western civilization and democratic institutions, Greece is the birthplace of western philosophy, literature, historiography, political science, theater, and the Olympic Games.
The country's rich historical legacy is a magnet to tourists and pilgrims from all over the world.
Ancient Greece also became the gateway for Christianity’s spread to Europe through the Apostle Paul. Paul’s famous vision of a man from Macedonia calling to him (Acts 16), “Come over to Macedonia and help us…” led to Paul spending much time in Greece.
You can follow in Paul’s footsteps on a tour to Greece, seeing with your own eyes the cities and amphitheaters in which Paul stood and preached the Gospel.
There is so much for everyone to see and enjoy in Greece!
Things You'll See
